I am a self employed person.I have my own business and home(home is mortgaged), am i qualified for any health care benefits in New York. Also if someone can refer me to a low cost health insurance please. I don't have a lot of money on my hands.

Hi there! I feel your pain!! I too, am a small business owner, and couldn't afford insurance. I always was worrying about getting sick, and not being able to afford the medical bills…such an awful worry to carry around.
There are a lot of options available that aren't insurance, but can save you a TON of money on healthcare, and are very affordable. The company I chose has been around for 15 years, and has thousands of providers nationwide, and has no age limits or restrictions like insurance has, and on-going conditions are ok.

Two books I can recommend that would really help you out. "Healthcare for Less" and "101 Health Insurance Tips." Both by Michelle Katz and both very cheap on Amazon…they have charts, easy websites, and phone number and a million and one ways to save money on your healthcare…they have saved me a ton!
